Speaker of the House and Bathroom King ruler – Mike Johnson
|
-
Johnson said he is a Bible-believing Christian who genuinely loves all people
- Johnson said he believes Homosexuals are capable of changing their abnormal lifestyles
- So loving someone isn't abnormal. Sure you personally may not understand, you may not approve but it isn't abnormal. How can loving another person be abnormal?
- Johnson opposed Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage nationally
- All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings—such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms—are reserved for individuals of that biological sex.
- How you identify yourself is a basic human function. I never felt right in the body I was born in. I hated it. Going into a restroom or changing room as me is just like anyone else using the room. Go in and do your business and leave. I deserve a restroom I feel matches how I identify.
- Johnson vocally opposed the legalization of same-sex marriage and defended states’ ability to criminalize gay sex
- Criminalize gay sex is an interesting issue. I don't think there is gay sex. There is sex. Who is having sex doesn't need goverment overview if it is between two consistenting adults
- Speaker Johnson has endorsed imprisoning doctors who provide abortions, repealing the Affordable Care Act’s protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and pressuring Amazon to sell books on anti-gay conversion therapy.
- A man cannot become a woman. ...That's what Scripture teaches, johnson preaches to the press
- I agree on this one. A man can't be a woman and a woman can't be a man but as a transperson, I was never a man, I just was in the wrong body. I knew there was a mistake, it just took years for me to live as the real me.
